Our Story

History…

In 1961, Jackson’s beloved and now-legend Nancy Ann Robison began teaching dance lessons in a spare bedroom at her mother’s home. 60 years ago, The Nancy Robison School of Dance performed it’s first ever recital in Jackson, Georgia: The Dance Review of ‘62.

This humble beginning soon evolved into a cherished Jackson institution that inspired an appreciation for dance and the arts among the greater community and fostered grace, poise, and confidence within generations of young people.

Terri Waits and Kim Pitman continued the Robison School of Dance Legacy of positivity while managing the Dance School for 20 years, until they bought the company and continued for 20 additional years as T&K Studios.

In 2023, Cady Baker took ownership and is keeping the legacy alive while putting a fresh spin on this timeless institution. With a background in Dance, Music, and Theater, Cady plans to expand the studio in the coming years to bring the community an outlet to nurture their creativity not only in Dance Class, but through private music lessons and Musical Theater.
